Video : funny end to ze world

July 30, 2008

End of Ze WorldRA is now in the midst of making the next RWP video.

The video will have 3 parts done by 3 different people. Altimet KOMY, Michelle Gunaselan & Niki Cheong. Each part will explain,

  1. BookCrossing campaign in conjunction with RWP
  2. D-Day 23rd August
  3. about how RWP is not about BookCrossing or D-Day, but far beyond that

In between each part, we will insert 2 voxpop clips. The voxpop is simply a video recording of someone saying

when I wait, I normally read a [book/magazine/newspaper]. Currently I’m reading [title] by [author's name]. I support RWP. I think RWP is a [thoughts on the project]…

Our idea of the video is not too exciting. And due credit should be given to Michelle for suggesting that in order to achieve greater effect, the video could be something like this (mad hilarious one). Or something to that effect.

It will cost us a little more to do a video with graphic animation, no matter how simple it is. But first we must have an idea of how it’s going to be like, look like. If you have any ideas to share, do Contact Us. a.s.a.p.

FAQ for LUM

  1. Do I have to come?
  2. You guys are weird. I just bought this new top. It’s fabulous. It’s super super low cut. Cause you know…KL weather. I don’t understand how people can still wear t-shirts. Anyway, can I wear my new top to LUM? Promise I’ll try to not steal the limelight. ;)
  3. I don’t get it. Ok. So how do I participate?
  4. OMG OMG ZZZOMG. Can you tell me first? I won’t tell anyone I pwoomisss. ;)
  5. :(
  6. Yaaaa. Got it! RA did ‘Rob!’ at KLue Urbanscapes. Is LUM going to be at another event? I prefer it that way cause I have sooo many things to do then to just go to a flashmob and then leave.
  7. Errrr. Errmm. Hurrmmm. What do you mean by clean? I don’t like doing flashmobs in the bathroom okkkay.
  8. Ok. But, how am I going to be certain that it’s fun?
  9. Sheesh! I’m just asking. I’m a busy person. If I know it’s going to turnout great, then I’d come.
  10. Yea right. WtvRR (whateveRR). I’m not coming.

1. Do I have to come?
No.

2. You guys are weird. I just bought this new top. It’s fabulous. It’s super super low cut. Cause you know…KL weather. I don’t understand how people can still wear t-shirts. Anyway, can I wear my new top to LUM? Promise I’ll try to not steal the limelight. ;)
If anyone wants to see a polluted longkang, there’s Sungai Kelang.

3. I don’t get it. Ok. So how do I participate?
Just be there at the Gathering Point at 5pm on Saturday 12 July. RA will only announce the location of the Gathering Point at 9pm on Wednesday 9 July on RandomAlphabets.com.

4. OMG OMG ZZZOMG. Can you tell me first? I won’t tell anyone I pwoomisss. ;)
No.

5. :(
Seriously. We’re not telling.

6. Yaaaa. Got it! RA did ‘Rob!’ at KLue Urbanscapes. Is LUM going to be at another event? I prefer it that way cause I have sooo many things to do then to just go to a flashmob and then leave.
No. LUM will not be at an event hosted by someone else. LUM will be very very very similar to KL Freeze in Unison. It’s that kind of flashmob.

At the same time, still clean, random and fun.

7. Errrr. Errmm. Hurrmmm. What do you mean by clean? I don’t like doing flashmobs in the bathroom okkkay.
By clean meaning we don’t meddle with politics, religion and Britney Spears.

8. Ok. But, how am I going to be certain that it’s fun? Are there going to be alot of annoying girls?
At the end of the flashmob, to wrap things up, we are going to shove our foot up your arse.

9. Sheesh! I’m just asking. I’m a busy person. If I know it’s going to turnout great, then I’d come.
If your parents knew you were going to turnout this way, they wouldn’t have had sex.

10. Yea right. WtvRR (whateveRR). I’m not coming.
You were not invited.

Verry annoying king video

July 16, 2008

I’ve never been a super fan of Jerry. I’ve always found Larry annoying. But this, is good tv. :)

Not sure which side crossed the line, but my heart goes out to every interviewer out there. One can be very oblivious sometimes.

These little town blues

“I don’t like cities. But I like New York.”
- Madonna

For the moment:
Cleopatra in New York – Nickodemus

.

Each week I receive two emails from New York. Newsletters or invitations to talks and discussions from two research organisations. Both have links on this site. Both I’ve applied to intern with in the past.

With Global Policy Forum, I did get a call back. The interview that was meant to be 45 minutes, went on for 90 minutes. 3 months later I found out I didn’t get it.

With Carnegie Council, I did get a reply but the academic article I submitted was not in line with what they do. And since I can’t travel to NY for an interview, they said another academic piece closely related to their work would do.

As for GPF, considering the other somewhat overqualified applicants I was up against, I was not surprise and do plan to apply again later. As for CC, when I do have the determination to write that piece, I will.

I’ve never been fond of cities, but NY is an exception. I was last and only time there was for 3 weeks in July 2006. I heart.

Below are two videos that never fails to make miss NY. Finding Forrester & RJD2’s Work It Out.

KLX has been postponed to 14 June! Watch the new video. Invitations are still open. :)

For more info, read the KLX brief & FAQ

KLX page on Facebook

Hello RandomAgents,

Due to recent developments, we must postpone KLX to 5pm Saturday 14 June.

The last time there was an oil hike, there was also a public demonstration in KL during the weekend. This will significantly affect the safety, smooth running and fun of our KLX.

KLX is similar to the MP3 Experiment done by Improv Everywhere in New York, except ours is far more sophisticated. We studied their videos and developed the idea to something more bizarre. Which in flashmob language, more exciting!

Iggy 6th sense mogwai

May 28, 2008

“You see what sounds to you as like a big load of trashy old noise is in fact, the brilliant music of a genius. Myself. And that music is so powerful that it’s quite beyond my control and when I’m in the grips of it, I don’t feel pleasure I don’t feel pain.”

For the moment:
I Know You Are But What Am I – Mogwai Live at Montreux Jazz Festival
Summer – Mogwai Live in France
Autorock – Mogwai Live in Athens

.

.
Some years ago when I was still ‘doing music’, I had once described to a person what it felt like while you’re on stage. Especially when you’re in your element.

I call it the 6th Sense. Cause I felt like my other 5 was almost numb. According to my records, the last time I had my fix, was on 28th May 2004 at an open mic session.

Yesterday I came across a video clip by one of my favourite music makers, Mogwai. In it, is an interview of Iggy Pop.

I think he described it, better than I.
