Feeling yellow

Yellow is a happy colour. Fact.
Name a colour which instantly cheers you up. Go on….
Mine is.
It has magical powers, even in small doses. There is one problem, though. A myth more like it. Many people think yellow is un-wearable. All it takes is a little creativity and a foot outside the box.
There is a big family of yellow out there; bright, neon, soft butter, striking lemon. Even yellow-green, mustard…. No one is suggesting you walk out the house in a neon yellow dress (although you would get brownie points because I personally think that is uber chic, provided you wear it down with accessories).
And no, yellow does not make you look jaundiced. Just pick a better shade.
If you cannot ever imagine yourself in a yellow dress, then I suggest go for that yellow belt or that pair of yellow earrings, or a black dress with yellow sleeves.
I own a gorgeous bright yellow oversized clutch and am wearing it with everything, my LBDs ( the dash of colour is refreshing ) , dressed down with my worn out blue jeans and white tee ( oh-l-didn’t-even-try ) , my favourite with a grey shift dress ( It screams, yes I am professional and amazing at my job, but I have fun too! ) and when I am feeling extra playful, with a bright colour block dress ( girls just wanna have funnnn….sing with me ).
Even writing about this magical colour makes me want to open my window and break into a song ala MAMA MIA!
No?
Just me then.
