In a cable car ride in Langkawi, I was in a gondola with my step mum, my two pre-teen sisters and a couple from KL in their early 20′s.
.
I sat directly across him and his girlfriend next to him.
.
In a way, I was glad that they were not shy as strangers, especially the guy. But they probably were shy as a couple as physical contact between the two was minimal. Between the two sides, we spoke casually on and off, but very little of it.
.
As we climb higher, the scenic view naturally got us, as citizens of the developing world, taking pictures.
.
For some odd reason, I felt a little awkward but still found bits and pieces of this situation amusing.

Here’s the juice.

He leans back against the ‘wall’ with the camera trying to create distance with his girlfriend to get a wider shot of her and the background. Immediately after, she takes the camera and he leans back and poses.

While waiting for the snap, he smiles and tilts his head slightly. And then he says:
Meow.
